From December 18th- 25th, 5 weeks old
These are some pictures of the puppies' first foray into the snow. Everyone liked being outside- at least for a while. At 30 degrees F, it was a lot colder than anything they'd experienced before!
Kern has also figured out the cat door, he likes it outside, so we have to lock the cat door so he doesn't slip out!

UPDATE- Puppies HAVE ARRIVED!!


Solo Olo was bred to Hurricane Tucker in September and on November 12th and 13th gave birth to 8 healthy puppies- 5 girls and 3 boys! All of the pups are doing fine, but Olo developed a uterine infection on Friday early AM and spent Friday at the emergency vet's and then our regular vet's. Olo is back home now and back to her happy self.

These puppies are purebred Chinooks and are eligible for registration with the United Kennel Club.

We are currently accepting applications for puppy homes- especially since we have 3 more pups than we initally expected! If you want an application for this current breeding or information on future breedings, please contact us at: info@grandriverchinooks.com

Hurricane Tucker is a black and tan Chinook with beautiful markings. He has a longer coat than the average Chinook. He has been raised in a home with two children (now teenagers), and is affectionate and outgoing. His parents both had good hip ratings and his siblings had either good or excellent hip ratings. He has sired one other litter of three puppies. At nine years old, Tucker is active and in good health.

GDC certification numbers are basically the same as OFA numbers.

The differences being: GDC = Genetic Disease Control 15387 = Individual GDC dog number H = Hips 18 = Age in months EN = Grade (Excellent Normal) GDC rated dogs with passing scores as:
EN = Excellent Normal
GN = Good Normal
AN = Acceptable Normal
GDC also certified dogs from 12 months of age and over.
